TriumphX, a developer of a cross-chain-based decentralized NFT platform, announced the launch of the first NFT series Gold Monkeys by artist LynnK.
After majoring in playwriting at Seoul Institute of the Arts, Lynnk majored in fine art and jewelry design at FIT in New York. She has since launched ‘Simply Vera’, a jewelry line of Vera Wang famous for wedding dresses, mainly in New York. After her return to Korea, she has been engaged in various work activities in Korea by mixing paintings, objects, and jewelry that express the happy appearance of 12 different zodiac animals in colorful colors. LynnK has launched a brand named after her, LYNNK, and is also an object artist and art jewelry columnist.
Artist LynnK was invited as a Korean representative to the French National Art Salon Exhibition (Salon SNBA 2016) held at the Louvre Louvre Hall in the Louvre Museum, Paris, in celebration of the ‘2015-2016 Year of Korea-France Interaction’ and ‘the 130th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France’. In addition,she successfully held solo exhibitions Stairway to sparkling eye1(2014), Stairway to Sparkling eye2(2014), HUG YOURSELF(2016), Tell me your wish, and Tell me your wish(2017).
The work that TriumphX is releasing as an NFT series this time is based on a monkey among the 12 zodiac signs and expresses the relationship between family members. Regarding ‘GREAT EXPECTATION’, one of LynnK’s works in this NFT series, the artist left the following artist’s note.
“I visited the monkey village in 2016, the year of the Monkey, and the mother monkey was busy with her baby monkey flying around and snatching food from tourists. Watching a mother monkey carrying her clingy baby like her own, feeding her ice cream like a human and brushing her hair, reminded her of her mother, who spent her whole life praying for her siblings. Even though my life was not materially prosperous, we realize that we have come this far with the power of her mother’s long hours and her prayers. There is a saying that prayer is a way where there is no way. Even in the age of material omnipotence and golden age, the legacy of immortality is probably a mother’s prayer for her child.”
Artist LynnK’s Gold Monkeys NFT series will be presented first through ENFTEE, followed by Marketplaces Sole-X and OpenSea.
